This training will help therapists understand more deeply how clients experience a sense of safety, offer processes to create safety and comprehend some of the biology of emotions. This training will explore the Polyvagal Theory as it applies to counseling.

Are you looking for a way to conceptualize addiction and recovery in a straightforward and meaningful way? This training will help therapists connect to clients with addictions more fully, support the recovery process, and reduce stigma, fear, and confusion about addiction and working with people who are addicted.
Brian Valasek, LPCC-S, LICDC is Counselor and Clinical Director at Restoring Hope Counseling and Coaching in Cincinnati, Ohio. Brian is very passionate about addiction recovery and relapse prevention and is working to reduce the stigma and shame people with addictions experience, individually and at a community level.
Trevor Steinhauser is a recovery coach located in Fort Thomas, KY. He is the host of a podcast that is centered around addiction and mental health. He is in long term recovery and has a passion for helping others. His goal is to help eradicate the stigma that comes with these issues.

This program will show the participant how to lead and grow as a counselor, to understand leadership as influence, the role of influence in counseling clients and in interacting with colleagues. The program will teach you how to build leadership capacity through personal growth and how to translate that into building your counseling practice or your role within a community mental or behavioral health setting.
