Many of us seek counseling to achieve change in our lives. I believe that change occurs most easily in the presence of unconditional acceptance. From this belief, I offer a space to create a genuine and reliable therapeutic relationship, which I see as the foundation for growth and healing.

Based on your concerns, worldview and preferences, I offer methods and tools for change and healing. In each session, you and I seek to realize your strengths and resources to help you reach your desired goals. I offer a safe place, warmth, and, sometimes, even humor to help you on your journey.

I have worked with individuals experiencing grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, perinatal and postpartum concerns and infertility. I am here to help you work through your struggles and move toward the change you wish to see in your life.

I see counseling as the process of uncovering and strengthening skills that can be used to help one overcome various barriers. Rough patches hit us all in different ways and I want to be there to help you identify and sharpen the tools you have the get through your challenges. I believe counseling should be a relationship that is judgment free, goal driven, creative, and honest. I enjoy seeing the best in people while also remaining aware that the greatest change comes when obstacles are met by strong efforts to adapt and overcome. My goal is to truly understand your background and personality in order to establish a trusting bond. In forming this connection, I aim to assess your needs and determine an appropriate and personalized counseling approach. I will guide and work with you to outline tangible and attainable steps so that you feel empowered to progress towards your goals.

Choosing to stay in a place of comfort can often lead to feeling stuck between who you are and your ideal self. I understand breaking out of this cycle can often feel overwhelming and uncomfortable. As a counseling intern, I will strive to create a safe place where together we will explore what this season of change will look like. My therapeutic approach serves as a resource of support and encouragement, as you will gain a better understanding of who you are and the capabilities you obtain. My hope is you will walk away from this experience feeling more confident towards your abilities to create personal change during future seasons of life. I would be honored to walk alongside you in this season of growth.

During my practicum experience, I had the honorable opportunity of working with children experiencing grief through the use of Equine Therapy (also referred as Horse Therapy). This experience involved creating a safe place to process grief and learning life tasks with the absence of their loved one. Through my practicum experience, I also had the opportunity to work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, and addiction.
